Rayat Bahra Professional University Organizes Awareness Seminar on HPV

An awareness seminar on Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) was organized by the Department of Allied and Health Care Sciences at Rayat Bahra Professional University. The seminar was held under the chairmanship of Principal Dr. Harinder Gill and Head of Department Dr. Sukhmeet Bedi.

On this occasion, Dr. Neetu Sareen delivered an informative session for the students, explaining in detail about HPV and the health issues related to it. She highlighted that HPV is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections, and certain types can lead to serious diseases including cervical cancer.

Dr. Neetu stressed the importance of the HPV vaccine, describing it as a highly effective preventive measure against cervical cancer. She also emphasized the need for timely screening and vaccination, noting that awareness and preventive steps can significantly reduce the risk of this disease.

Concluding the session, Dr. Sukhmeet Bedi expressed gratitude to Dr. Neetu Sareen and underlined that such initiatives not only enrich the knowledge of students but also play a vital role in spreading health awareness in society.
