World Environment Day 2026 Celebrated at Rayat Bahra Professional University, Hoshiarpur

Rayat Bahra Professional University (RBPU), Hoshiarpur, under the aegis of the Bahra Foundation and through its Education Social Responsibility (ESR) Wing, celebrated World Environment Day 2026 with great enthusiasm and commitment towards environmental sustainability. The event was organized in collaboration with National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers to promote awareness about environmental conservation and sustainable living practices.

The program commenced with an inspiring keynote address by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. Chander Mohan, who highlighted the urgent need to protect natural resources and encouraged students to adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives. He emphasized the role of educational institutions in nurturing environmentally conscious citizens and creating a greener future for coming generations.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Pallavi Pandit, NSS Programme Coordinator, motivated students to become active participants in environmental protection initiatives. She encouraged the youth to spread awareness about climate change, biodiversity conservation, waste management, and sustainable development within their communities.

As part of the celebration, NSS volunteers conducted a campus-wide environmental awareness drive, engaging students and staff in discussions on environmental responsibility. Participants also took a collective pledge to contribute towards environmental conservation and actively support green initiatives throughout the academic session 2026–27.

The event reflected RBPU’s unwavering commitment to social responsibility, environmental stewardship, and sustainable development. Through such initiatives, the university continues to empower students to become responsible global citizens dedicated to preserving and protecting the environment.
