MY Bharat Khelo India Samvaad 2026 Organised at Rayat Bahra Professional University, Hoshiarpur

Rayat Bahra Professional University (RBPU), Hoshiarpur, successfully organised the MY Bharat – National Sports Day 2026 “Khelo India Samvaad” Programme – “Khel Ki Baat PM Ke Saath” on August 27, 2026, under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India.

The programme witnessed the virtual address of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and brought together a large gathering of NSS volunteers, students, young sportspersons and faculty members. The initiative focused on promoting youth participation in sports while highlighting the importance of fitness, discipline, healthy lifestyles and sports in nation building.

The programme was organised under the coordination of Dr. Pallavi Pandit, NSS Programme Coordinator, who interacted with students and delivered the powerful message “Nasha Chhodo, Khelon Ko Apnao” (Say No to Drugs, Adopt Sports). She motivated students to stay away from substance abuse and encouraged them to make sports, fitness and discipline an integral part of their daily lives.Dr. Chandermohan Ji, Vice Chancellor, Rayat Bahra Professional University, addressed the gathering and encouraged the young generation to actively participate in sports. He emphasised the significance of physical fitness, determination and a positive approach towards life.The programme was also graced by Hon’ble former Member of Parliament Shri Avinash Rai Khanna Ji, who interacted with students and sportspersons and shared his valuable views and experiences. He motivated young participants to pursue sports with dedication, discipline and commitment.Madam Jasleen Kaur, Deputy Director, MY Bharat, Hoshiarpur, representing the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, was also present at the programme and interacted with the students. Her participation added significance to the national-level sports and youth engagement initiative.

The stage proceedings were efficiently conducted by Dr. Jyotsna, Dean, University School of Sciences, who anchored and coordinated the programme.

Felicitation of Young Sporting Talent

The Khelo India Samvaad 2026 at RBPU also provided a platform to recognise and encourage emerging sporting talent. Young players of Rayat Bahra International School were honoured for their achievements and participation in sports. Young sportspersons from the University School of Physical Education were also felicitated in recognition of their sporting talent and contribution.

The programme further featured interaction with distinguished sportspersons, including Mr. Prince, an 18-year-old Judo player from Bulandshahr, who attended the event as the Guest of Honour. His experiences provided valuable inspiration to students and young athletes.

The discussions covered several important areas related to the development of sports and young sporting talent, including sports infrastructure, training and development, sports science, nutrition and healthy lifestyles, technology in sports, international exposure and opportunities for young athletes.

Promoting Sports, Fitness and Youth Empowerment

The programme concluded with the Viksit Bharat Pledge, National Anthem, group photograph and interaction with students and sportspersons. The successful organisation of MY Bharat Khelo India Samvaad 2026 reflects Rayat Bahra Professional University’s continued commitment to promoting sports, physical fitness, discipline, youth empowerment and healthy lifestyles.
