RBPU Hosts Meeting with My Bharat Deputy Director to Strengthen Youth Engagement Initiatives
Rayat Bahra Professional University (RBPU), Hoshiarpur, held an important meeting with Ms. Jasleen Kaur, Deputy Director, My Bharat, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, along with the NSS Coordinators of various University Schools. The meeting focused on strengthening youth participation in the My Bharat National Quiz Competition and planning a three-day My Bharat Boot Camp at the university.
National Quiz Competition on My Bharat Portal
During the meeting, NSS Coordinators were briefed about the National Quiz Competition launched on the My Bharat Portal. NSS Volunteers of RBPU will actively motivate and encourage students pursuing higher education to register and participate in the competition.
The initiative aims to reach students across higher education institutions, including universities and colleges in Punjab. The competition will be conducted in four stages:
- Quiz Question–Answer Round – Participants will attempt the online quiz.
- Online Essay Writing Round – Students qualifying for the first stage will proceed to the online essay-writing round.
- State-Level Round – Selected participants will compete at the state level through a presentation.
- National-Level Round – State-level qualifiers will travel to New Delhi for the national-level rounds and will get an opportunity to interact with Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji.
With a target of 15,000 student participants from District Hoshiarpur, RBPU is expected to play an important role in promoting participation and supporting the successful implementation of this nationwide youth initiative.
Three-Day My Bharat Boot Camp at RBPU
The meeting also discussed the upcoming three-day My Bharat Boot Camp, proposed to be organised at Rayat Bahra Professional University on 22nd, 23rd and 24th.
The Boot Camp will bring together 25 students from District Hoshiarpur and 10 students from outside the district. Participants will stay at the university hostel throughout the three-day programme.
The My Bharat, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, will bear the expenses related to accommodation, food and various activities. The programme will feature interactive sessions and activities conducted by invited Resource Persons. Faculty members of RBPU will also have an opportunity to contribute as Resource Persons, sharing their expertise and knowledge with participating students.
Strengthening Youth Participation and Leadership
The meeting highlighted the important role of NSS Volunteers and Coordinators in creating awareness, encouraging student participation and promoting youth engagement through the My Bharat initiative. These programmes will provide students with opportunities to develop knowledge, leadership skills, communication abilities and active participation in nation-building activities.
