Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam: Tree Plantation Drive and Inspirational Interactive Session Organized at Rayat Bahra Professional University

Hoshiarpur, Punjab | June 9, 2026: Rayat Bahra Professional University (RBPU), Hoshiarpur, through its Education Social Responsibility (ESR) Wing under the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit, successfully organized a Tree Plantation Drive under the inspiring theme “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, promoting environmental sustainability and social responsibility.

The plantation activity was conducted in the open area in front of the University Mess and was graciously led by Shri Avinash Rai Khanna Ji (Former Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha) and Dr. Chandermohan, Vice Chancellor, RBPU Hoshiarpur. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from university officials, faculty members, NSS volunteers, and staff members dedicated to environmental conservation.

Prominent dignitaries present during the plantation drive included Mr. Kuldeep Singh Rana (Director Administration), Dr. Pallavi Pandit (NSS Programme Coordinator), Dr. Kuldeep Walia (Dean Student Welfare), Dr. Pooja Verma, Mrs. Manpreet Bhatia, Ms. Priyanka, Mr. Nishant, Mrs. Sandeep Saini, Mr. Sukhdev, Ms. Pammi (Hostel Warden), along with the university’s gardening staff and NSS volunteers.

Following the plantation activity, an insightful and motivational interactive session was organized in the Vice Chancellor’s Conference Room. The session featured Mrs. Preeti Ohri, a renowned jewellery designer, author, interior designer, and motivational speaker, who shared valuable perspectives on environmental consciousness, personal growth, positivity, mindfulness, and balanced living.

The interactive discussion encouraged participants to strengthen their connection with nature while embracing sustainable lifestyle practices. Faculty members including Dr. Pooja Verma, Dr. Jyotsna (Dean, University School of Sciences), and Dr. Priyanka Puri (Head, University School of Law) actively contributed their thoughts on the significance of environmental stewardship and mental well-being in today’s world.

The event was attended by Shri Avinash Rai Khanna Ji, Dr. Chandermohan (Vice Chancellor), Mrs. Preeti Ohri, Dr. Nikhil Moonga (Dean, University School of Management), faculty members from various schools, HSP members, and NSS volunteers, making it a meaningful platform for learning, environmental action, and community engagement.
