Eye Donation Awareness Camp Organised at RBPU Hoshiarpur

Rayat Bahra Professional University, Hoshiarpur, organised an Eye Donation Awareness Camp on 8 October 2026 through the University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (USPS), under the Red Ribbon Club, in association with the Eye Donation Association (Regd.), Civil Hospital, Hoshiarpur. The programme was organised alongside the observance of Bhai Kanhaiya Ji Manav Seva Sankalp Diwas to promote compassion, humanity, and selfless service.

The camp was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Jyotsna, Dean, RRC and NSS Coordinator, RBPU, with the objective of creating awareness about eye donation and highlighting its significance in restoring sight and transforming lives.

The event was graced by S. Bahadur Singh Sunet, S. Baljit Singh Panesar, S. Harbhajan Singh, and S. Gurpreet Singh, who shared valuable insights into the humanitarian philosophy of Bhai Kanhaiya Ji and the importance of eye donation. Their addresses encouraged participants to embrace the values of kindness, empathy, and service to humanity.

The distinguished guests were warmly welcomed by Dr. Jasdeep Kaur Dhami, Dean, IQAC, who presented them with planters as a gesture of respect and appreciation.

The programme was attended by Dr. Maninder Pal Singh, Director, University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences; Ms. Simarjit Kaur, Head of the Department of Pharm D; faculty members; staff; and students. The guests were felicitated with tokens of appreciation, and the programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Jyotsna.

Through this initiative, Rayat Bahra Professional University continues to encourage social responsibility, community engagement, and awareness of meaningful humanitarian causes among its students and staff.
