Guest Lecture on Negotiation Skills for HR Professionals at RBPU

The University School of Business Studies (USBS), Rayat Bahra Professional University (RBPU), Hoshiarpur, organized an insightful guest lecture on “Negotiation Skills: Being an HR Professional” on 03 February 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the Seminar Hall, RBPU.

The session was organized under the able guidance of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. (Prof.) Chander Mohan, and Dean IQAC, Dr. Jasdeep Kaur Dhami, reflecting the university’s commitment to industry-oriented learning and professional skill development.

The programme was successfully coordinated by Dr. Damanpreet Kaur, Guest Lecture Committee Coordinator, with the support of Ms. Deepti and Placement Coordinator Mr. Manmeet Singh. The guest speaker for the session was Ms. Amandeep Kaur, Senior Executive – Strategic Alliance, IDP, Hoshiarpur, who brought valuable industry perspectives to the discussion.

During the lecture, Ms. Amandeep Kaur emphasized the critical role of negotiation skills in human resource management. She discussed practical aspects such as effective communication strategies, emotional intelligence, stakeholder management, and real-life workplace scenarios commonly faced by HR professionals. The session highlighted how strong negotiation skills are essential in areas like recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.

Students from the MBA and BBA programmes actively participated in the session, engaging in meaningful interactions with the speaker. The lecture enhanced students’ understanding of industry expectations, HR competencies, and professional skill sets, helping bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world HR practices.
