Under the leadership of President and eminent social worker Sanjeev Arora and Chairman J. B. Behl, the Rotary Eye Bank and Corneal Transplantation Society congratulated Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chairman of Rayat Bahra Group of Institutes, on the establishment of Rayat Bahra Professional University and offered him sweets to mark the occasion.

On this occasion, S. Gurvinder Singh Bahra said that this will be the first university in India where the admission form will include a column related to organ donation. Filling it will be mandatory, but it will be up to the student to decide whether to give consent or not. He added that it is the need of the hour that students gain detailed knowledge about eye and organ donation so that they can spread awareness among their parents, neighbors, friends, and others.

Chairman J. B. Behl and President Sanjeev Arora said that it is a matter of pride for Hoshiarpur that the Rayat Bahra Group of Institutes has been granted university status. There is a wave of joy among the people of the city and Punjab, as thousands of students who study here are bringing glory to Hoshiarpur and Rayat Bahra College across India and abroad.

Mr. Arora further said that the greatest benefit will be to the residents of Hoshiarpur, as their children will be able to pursue higher education close to home. Thanking Mr. Bahra, he also remarked that the decision to include an organ donation column in the admission form is indeed a noble act.

On this occasion, Campus Director Chander Mohan, Secretary Veena Chopra, Madan Lal Mahajan, Prof. Daljit Singh, Jasbir Kanwar, Ashwani Kumar Dutta, and Krishan Kishore were present.
