Sadbhavana Diwas 2026 Celebrated at RBPU Hoshiarpur | Poster & Essay Competitions
Poster Making Competition at University School of Hospitality
The University School of Hospitality celebrated Sadbhavana Diwas on August 24, 2026. The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr. Chander Mohan, Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Pallavi Pandit, Programme Coordinator, ESR Wing and NSS Unit, with coordination by Nishant Bhatia, NSS Coordinator, Department of Hospitality.
Students actively participated in a Poster Making Competition based on themes of peace, unity, diversity, compassion and communal harmony. The activity provided students with a creative platform to express their thoughts and spread meaningful messages about the importance of harmony and inclusivity in society.
The competition was followed by a collective Harmony Pledge, in which students committed themselves to respecting every individual irrespective of religion, language, culture, caste, gender or background. They pledged to reject hatred, discrimination and prejudice, celebrate diversity, help others, choose dialogue over conflict and promote friendship, peace and mutual respect.
The programme encouraged students to become ambassadors of peace, kindness, inclusivity and unity, while strengthening the spirit of teamwork, social responsibility and responsible citizenship within the university community.
Essay Writing Competition at University School of Computer Applications
On August 25, 2026, Sadbhavana Diwas was celebrated at the University School of Computer Applications, Rayat Bahra Professional University, Hoshiarpur, with the objective of promoting harmony, mutual respect, unity and peaceful coexistence in society.
On this occasion, an Essay Writing Competition was organized for students on the significance and purpose of observing Sadbhavana Diwas. The activity was conducted with the active support and participation of the NSS Volunteers of the University School of Computer Applications under the leadership of Mr. Vishal, NSS Coordinator, University School of Computer Applications, and Dr. Pallavi Pandit, NSS Programme Coordinator, Rayat Bahra Professional University, with the guidance and support of Dr. Chander Mohan, Vice Chancellor, Rayat Bahra Professional University, Hoshiarpur.
The competition provided students with an opportunity to express their thoughts on the importance of harmony, unity and social responsibility and contribute towards creating a positive social environment and a better society.
The results of the Essay Writing Competition will be declared on August 30, 2026, following which the students securing First, Second and Third positions will be felicitated and awarded in recognition of their outstanding performance.
Through these celebrations and activities, Rayat Bahra Professional University, Hoshiarpur, reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing socially responsible and inclusive citizens. The Sadbhavana Diwas celebrations encouraged students to uphold the values of peace, unity, harmony, mutual respect, diversity and responsible citizenship in their everyday lives.
