To mark the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Member of Parliament Avinash Rai Khanna spearheaded a plantation drive at Rayat Bahra Professional University.

Students from across the country, including a large number from Jammu and Kashmir, actively participated in the drive by planting a variety of fruit-bearing and flowering saplings such as neem, harad, kachnar, and amla. Each student pledged to take responsibility for nurturing and protecting the plants, reinforcing the message of environmental preservation.

Speaking on the occasion, Khanna lauded the students’ commitment and emphasized the importance of balancing academic pursuits with social responsibilities like environmental conservation.

He also shared details of his ongoing social service initiatives, highlighting efforts to provide relief materials including food and clothing to flood-affected villages. Khanna further informed that, with the cooperation of local NGOs, blood donation camps are being organized across the region to support those in need.

The plantation drive not only celebrated the Prime Minister’s milestone birthday but also reflected the collective resolve of students and the institution towards building a greener and healthier environment.
