Rayat Bahra Professional University Welcomes Senior Citizens with Love and Respect
Rayat Bahra Professional University (RBPU) proudly organized a heartfelt interaction with the senior citizens of Tera Aasra Sewa Ghar, celebrating compassion, respect, and community bonding on the university campus.
The event was graced by the presence of Honorable Chancellor S. Gurvinder Singh Bahra Ji, Worthy Vice Chancellor Dr. Chander Mohan, and distinguished dignitaries including Ex MP Shri Avinash Rai Khanna Ji, Sh. Kuldeep Singh Rana (Director Admin), Mr. Harinder Jaswal (Sr. Director, Marketing & Administration), and Dr. Kuldeep Walia (Director Admissions & Dean Student Welfare).
The program began with a warm floral welcome for the senior citizens, followed by inspiring lectures and soulful songs presented by the elders themselves, filling the atmosphere with joy and togetherness.
Students of Nursing and Pharmacy actively participated in the celebration by serving breakfast and lunch with love and respect. They also conducted health checkups including blood pressure and weight monitoring, ensuring the well-being of the senior citizens with great care and compassion.
A special highlight of the day was the plantation of saplings by Shri Avinash Rai Khanna Ji along with the senior citizens, symbolizing growth, gratitude, and new beginnings.
The guests were also given a tour of the University Library, Labs, and Nursing Rooms, where they appreciated the modern facilities and engaged in meaningful interactions with students. These conversations created a bridge of intergenerational learning, allowing young learners to gain wisdom and life experiences from their elders.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries emphasized the importance of caring for senior citizens and instilling values of compassion and gratitude among students. The event concluded with smiles on every face, leaving behind a lasting message of love, respect, and togetherness.
