Mega Voter Enrollment Drive – SIR 2026 Held at Rayat Bahra Professional University, Hoshiarpur

Rayat Bahra Professional University (RBPU), Hoshiarpur, hosted the Mega Voter Enrollment Drive – Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026, aimed at creating awareness among eligible citizens and young voters about voter registration and active participation in the democratic process.

Ms. Aashika Jain, Deputy Commissioner, Hoshiarpur, addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of voter enrollment, electoral awareness and responsible participation in democracy. She encouraged eligible students and citizens to register as voters and understand the importance of exercising their democratic rights.

Dr. Chander Mohan, Vice Chancellor, Rayat Bahra Professional University, motivated students to recognise the value of their vote and actively participate in the electoral process. He emphasised the role of young voters in strengthening democracy and building an informed and responsible society.

The event was also graced by Ms. Oishee Mandal, IAS; Sh. Parampreet Singh, SDM, Hoshiarpur; Dr. Nidhi, ADC; Ms. Ramandeep Kaur, Election Tehsildar; and Sh. Ankur Sharma, District SVEEP Nodal Officer. The dignitaries interacted with students and encouraged them to stay informed, complete voter registration and participate actively in the democratic process.

The programme was well coordinated by Dr. Nikhil Monga and Dr. Maninder Pal Singh. The initiative provided students with valuable awareness about voter enrollment and their role as responsible citizens.
